Diabetes
Berberine has similar effects to metformin: Meta Analysis
“There is strong evidence supporting the clinical efficacy and safety of berberine in the treatment of Diabetes Mellitus, especially as an adjunctive therapy”
Cinnamon improves glucose and lipids of people with type 2 diabetes
“The results of this study…suggest that the inclusion of cinnamon in the diet of people with type 2 diabetes will reduce risk factors associated with diabetes and cardiovascular diseases”
Eugenol (major constituent in cinnamon bark) effective in treating hyperglycemia: Meta analysis
“Undoubtedly, the decrease in glycemic levels by eugenol has been demonstrated through the inhibition of carbohydrate-metabolizing enzymes, and the possible inhibition of glucose production”

Overall, the study confirmed the efficacy of collagen peptide intake on activity-related knee joint discomfort making it a potentially interesting option for the treatment of joint pain induced by physical stress
Inflammation
Anti-inflammatory effects of Scutellaria baicalensis water extract on LPS-activated RAW 264.7 macrophages

Effect of Boswellia Serrata Extract on Acute Inflammatory Parameters and Tumor Necrosis Factor-α in Complete Freund's Adjuvant-Induced Animal Model of Rheumatoid Arthritis
“The present animal study has revealed that the BSE has anti-inflammatory potential and can be used as an antiarthritic drug. BSE at the dose of 180 mg/kg is more effective as compared to other BSE doses (45, 90 mg/kg), but less than standard drug (indomethacin 3 mg/kg) in RA parameters. The results of the present study are encouraging and reveal the importance of BSE as a potential anti-arthritic agent. In light of the above evidence, its efficacy should be evaluated in human subjects and the combination of BSE might have potential usefulness as an adjunct to conventional modern therapy in the further management of RA as well as in other inflammatory diseases.”
Bromelain as a Treatment for Osteoarthritis: a Review of Clinical Studies
The currently available data do indicates the potential of bromelain in treating osteoarthritis. However, further studies are needed before a definitive conclusion can be drawn. Specifically, there is a need for trials to establish efficacy, and dose ranging studies to identify the optimum dosage (with adequate prospective adverse event monitoring). Finally, future work should focus on the dose–response parameters and efficacy of long-term bromelain use in chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis
Quercetin and its derivates as antiviral potentials: A comprehensive review
Several studies highlight the potential use of quercetin as an antiviral, due to its ability to inhibit the initial stages of virus infection, to be able to interact with proteases important for viral replication, and to reduce inflammation caused by infection.
Interleukin-3 amplifies acute inflammation and is a potential therapeutic target in sepsis
